Dr. Mona Karim, MD/Vice Chair Dept of Radiation Oncology Morristown Memorial Hospital
Mona Karim, MD, received her Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Harvard University and her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine including a one year American Heart Association Medical Student Research Fellowship.
Dr. Karim continued her post-doctoral training as a resident in Radiation Oncology at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Her internship was in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center.
Previously, Dr. Karim held the title of Assistant Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology, UMDNJ – New Jersey Medical School, Newark, New Jersey. Her responsibilities included the clinical practice in Radiation Oncology and preceptorship of medical students.
Dr. Karim’s major clinical and research interests include breast, gynecologic, head and neck, gastrointestinal, and pediatric cancers. Her research has been published in the Journal of Molecular Carcinogenesis and the Einstein Quarterly Journal of Biology and Medicine. She is a member of The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and Physicians for Human Rights. Dr. Karim’s other areas of clinical interest are MammoSite and gynecologic brachytherapy.
Dr. Mona Karim was elected by her peers for inclusion in Best Doctors in America® from 2009 to 2010.
